Y?not

Y?not is a young painter from the area of Lyon. A self-taught artist, he developed a colourful style focused on cartoon and pop art, in the streets as in studios or galleries.

He mixes figurative and abstract aspects, sprinkling in lettering which reflects his cartoon influence. Captivated by the force of attraction and diversity of emotion, he focuses on these influences in his art.

His pieces are composed of patchwork, as if several layers of paper were placed on top of each other, ripped and running into each other, weathered through time.

His technique centres on colour and form. In his pieces, he likes telling stories in a tone which is at once popular and iconoclastic.
